Approval is a rare thing. Many people seek it, but it takes a very long time to find it, and you never know where and when you’ll find it. But it always goes that the one person you seek approval of will never give it to you. They almost always cut you down instead, as if they’re trying to teach you that they don’t have what you’re looking for. But you don’t care. You just keep coming back.
Life’s a bitch, and we have to put up with it.
Just when something good happens, two bad things happen to piss you off. If everything is going well for a while, we always seem to suspect that something bad will happen. Because it usually does.
Whenever we get into arguments, we are always expected to be the better person; to try and resolve it. It’s never that easy. We don’t stop to think “Oh, what should I do now?” during a fight, verbal or not. Our mind is completely taken over by anger and the desire to hurt the other person. We are imperfect, but we want to be the best. But once we reach the perfection we desire, we lose friends. Their loyalty is overrun by jealousy and resentment.
We are not perfect. We never will be.
But we still reach, in futile hope, for something we can never quite grab. Many people are too close-minded to embrace who they are.
It is those people that will fall in the search for perfection
